PROFESSIONAL SUMMER PROGRAM FOR EMERGING 
COMPOSERS COLLEGIUM MUSICUM

The professional summer program emerging composers Collegium Musicum offers to 
a small number of selected composers from around the world the opportunity to have 
their works rehearsed and performed by a professional orchestra, the Levon Manukyan
Collegium Musicum.
The composers will engage in a week of intensive workshops and conferences – live, 
and streamed online, – form professional connections and network with colleagues
from the arts industry. At the end of the internship some participants will be offered 
a publication contract with the International Research and Information Centre Thracica. 
The program will take place between June 10 and June 18, 2013 in Bourgas, Bulgaria 
and will involve active participants and auditors who will not have works performed. 
The program targets specifically composers at the beginning of their professional 
career who have completed the majority of their studies. The event and the names 
of all participants will be heavily publicized in local and international media.

The main working language will be English. 
Note that selected active participants will not be asked to write a piece specifically for the
internship, but the work must fit the provided instrumentation and should be sent to the 
orchestra no later than April 13, 2013. 
The work should incorporate no less than 80% of the following:
3 first violins
3 second violins
2 violas
2 violoncellos
1 double-bass
1 flute
1 oboe
1 clarinett
1 piano
1 Percussion 


Timeline for application and participation 
October 8, 2012:
deadline for sending all application materials
November 8, 2012:
announcement of the results
January 15, 2013:
deadline for paying the participation fee
April 15, 2013:
deadline for submitting score and parts to the Levon Manukyan Collegium Musicum
May 15, 2013:
participants receive the detailed programme; all guest-lecturers are announced on the
website.
June 10, 2013:
arrival in Bulgaria for the program
June 18, 2013:
departure from Bulgaria
September 1, 2013:
participants receive recordings of their works
